Australia: When it comes to customer satisfaction, Australians have chosen Hyundai over other automotive brands in an independent survey conducted by the country’s leading market research professionals, Colmar Brunton, on behalf of CANSTAR Blue.

The Customer Satisfaction report placed Hyundai Motor Company in front of long time Australian favourites Holden and Ford, and ahead of six other leading Japanese manufacturers including Toyota, Mazda, Honda and Nissan.

Hyundai took the top spot for overall satisfaction in the automotive category out of nine volume manufacturers, the only company to receive a full 5 stars in the ‘Value For Money’, ‘Point Of Sale Service’, ‘After Sale Service’ and ‘Overall’ assessments.

The research saw 2500 people surveyed across a number of key categories including airline, mobile phone provider and automotive. Further evidence of the shift from traditional to fresh brands saw Virgin Blue top the national air carrier QANTAS, and Virgin Mobile beating Telstra in the satisfaction stakes.

“This is going direct to consumers and saying: now, how do you find that brand?” said Canstar Cannex Head of Research Steven Mickenbecker. “It’s by consumers, for consumers.”
The research is the first national study undertaken by Canstar Blue, the new consumer division of Canstar Cannex which has been compiling and comparing business information since 1992.

“The i30 hatch and wagon have been multi award winning products for Hyundai since their launch, and we have recently added ix35, i45 and i20 further expanding the i-series range,” said Oliver Mann, Hyundai Motor Company Australia’s Director Marketing. “This is another strong endorsement of Hyundai’s commitment to quality by Australian buyers.
