Starting with aluminum die casting and aluminum recycling, we have grown in step with the global expansion of automobile manufacturing and, particularly in recent years, the reduction of automobile weight as a means of improving fuel efficiency.
Over the past five years, our sales have almost doubled, from 66 billion yen in FY2002 to 130 billion yen in FY2007, thanks to increased production in Japan and the rapid development of operations overseas. Japanese auto manufacturers, our main customers, plan to expand production both at home and abroad and will reduce vehicle weight to address environmental concerns. Given this trend, we believe demand for parts produced by aluminum die casting, our core business, will continue to grow.
